As a Blood Program Leader and Youth Executive Board Member with the American Red Cross National Capital & Greater Chesapeake Region, organized 10+ blood drives collecting 320+ units of blood. Supported 3,200 youth across 104 clubs and collaborated with Biomedical Services on donor recruitment, screening, and transfusion logistics, deepening understanding of nonprofit medicine. 

Served as a Junior Leadership Committee Member for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Maryland Chapter. Volunteered since 6th grade, leading a team that raised $65K and advising three additional teams that raised $150K+. Organized statewide campaigns advancing cancer awareness, research, and patient support. 

As a Public Health Youth Fellow and Junior Advisory Board Member for the St. Mary’s County Health Department, led youth initiatives, researched GLP-1 agonists for obesity treatment, and assisted with blood testing and lab work. Collaborated with county officials to promote youth education and equitable healthcare policy. 

Volunteered with Church of the Ascension and St. Mary’s Helping Hands Food Pantries to collect, sort, and distribute 15,000+ lbs of food to 250+ underserved families. Partnered with local stores and restaurants to reduce waste and combat food insecurity. 

Served as a Volunteer EMT and First Responder with the Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad. Certified in CPR, AED, and ACS Stop the Bleed. Assisted paramedics in patient assessment, emergency transport, and communication during high-pressure responses. 

Volunteered with the Parasmani Foundation in Ahmedabad, India, partnering with local health workers to educate families on vaccination, sanitation, and disease prevention. Distributed hygiene kits and medical supplies to underserved communities. 

Founded and led the Leo, Rotary Interact, Red Cross, Key, and Spanish Honor Society clubs at Great Mills High School. Promoted global citizenship, volunteerism, and cultural awareness through fundraisers, bilingual tutoring, and food drives. Mentored peers in leadership, time management, and community collaboration. 

Member of the Superintendent’s Student Leadership Advisory Council (SSLAC) and Steering Committee for St. Mary’s County Public Schools. Advised district leaders on academic policy and wellness, helped plan orientation programs, and improved communication between students and administrators. 

Worked as a Flight Simulator Trainer and Instructor at the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum: educated visitors about aerodynamics, aviation history, and marine science. Completed “Train-the-Trainer” certification and inspired STEM engagement through interactive education. Volunteered at the Calvert Marine Museum, assisting with interactive exhibits and educational programs for visitors of all ages.
